Gin is a clear, distilled alcoholic drink flavored with juniper berries and other plant ingredients (botanicals). It evolved from an early medicinal juniper tonic created in Europe and developed into the Dutch spirit jenever before exploding in popularity in 18th-century England.

Negroni

The Negroni is named after Count Camillo Negroni, an Italian aristocrat who, in Florence around 1919, asked a bartender to strengthen his favorite Americano cocktail by replacing the soda water with gin. The new drink took off, and people began ordering it as “Count Negroni’s drink,” which soon became simply the Negroni.
